We work on garage doors and openers at houses in Bedford and the surrounding area - broken torsion springs, cables that have jumped the drum, rollers worn down to the bearing, sections that got backed into, openers that grind but won't lift, and tracks knocked out of alignment. A lot of what we see traces back to the age of the house. Housing across this service area was mostly built between 1953 and 2014, with the median closer to 1992, so a good share of the doors we're called to are original hardware from the 1980s and 90s - steel sections on torsion springs sized for a door that's now thirty-plus years old. That matters for pricing: parts for a door that age aren't always a direct swap, and sometimes the honest answer is that replacing the door costs less than chasing parts for it. We don't do fencing, siding, or general handyman work - garage doors and the openers attached to them is the job.
