What We Actually Do

We work on garage doors - springs, openers, tracks, panels, rollers, cables. That's it. We don't do windows, siding, or general handyman jobs, and if a call turns out to be something other than a garage door, we'll say so instead of taking the job anyway.

Housing age across Bedford

Most of the houses we get called to around here were built somewhere between 1953 and 2014, with the bulk of that stock going up in the 1980s and 90s across the 31 or so named areas we cover. That matters more than people think.

Aging opener hardware

A door and opener installed in a house from the early 90s is running on hardware that's thirty-plus years old even if it looks fine from the driveway - springs fatigue, openers lose circuit boards that nobody makes anymore, and track that was fine for a lighter steel door sags under a heavier insulated replacement.

Original springs and bent tracks

We see torsion springs that are original to the house, openers with chain drives and no battery backup, and tracks bent from a car bumper that never got noticed until the door started grinding. None of that is unusual for a house this age. We carry the parts that fit it. We work in and around Bedford, out to places like Richland Hills, Keller, Haltom City, Mosier Valley, and the other towns within roughly 20 miles. We don't claim coverage outside that.

Get in touch

Contacting Us

Call 18179851324. That's the number that reaches the shop, not a dispatch center reading from a script somewhere else.

Our address is 1901 Central Dr, Bedford, TX 76021. If you'd rather look us up first, our site is at /.

When you call, tell us what the door is doing - won't open, opens partway and stops, makes a bang, opener runs but the door doesn't move. That's more useful to us than a model number you'd have to go dig up. We'll ask a couple of follow-up questions to get a sense of whether it's a spring, a cable, an opener board, or something in the track, so whoever shows up already has a rough idea what they're walking into.

We don't do live chat and we don't have a ticket system. It's a phone call and a conversation.

A light gray van is parked in the driveway of a brick house with a metal garage door.

What to expect

After You Call

We'll give you a time window, not a promise of 'today' if it isn't realistic. A broken torsion spring on a double door is usually a same-trip fix if we've got the right spring on the truck, which is the normal case for standard sizes.

Sourcing discontinued opener parts

Something odd - an opener model that's been discontinued, a door panel that has to be special-ordered - can mean a second visit while we source the part. On site, we'll look at the actual failure before quoting anything.

Sizing a replacement spring

If it's a spring, we'll tell you the size and whether the other one on a double-torsion setup is worth replacing at the same time so you're not paying for a second truck visit in six months.

Repair or replace decisions

If the opener's dead, we'll tell you straight whether it makes more sense to repair the board or replace the unit - older chain-drive openers sometimes aren't worth chasing for the one broken part. We'll tell you what we found, what it costs, and we won't start work until you say go.

Our team

Who Does the Work

A one-story brick house with a tan garage door and a large tree in the front yard.

The person who answers the phone and the person who shows up with the truck are working out of the same shop at 1901 Central Dr. There's no subcontracting to someone else's crew.

We work on the doors that are actually out there in this area - torsion and extension spring setups, chain and belt drive openers, steel and composite panel doors from the last few decades of local construction. If a job needs a part we don't stock, we'll say that up front rather than guess at a fix.

We're straightforward about what a repair buys you versus what a full door or opener replacement buys you, especially on a door that's original to a house built decades ago. Sometimes the honest answer is that the springs and rollers are fine and it's just the opener logic board, and sometimes it's a door that's had enough and patching it again isn't worth your money.

Questions

Common questions

Do you work outside Bedford?

Yes, within roughly a 20-mile range - places like Richland Hills, Keller, Haltom City, Mosier Valley, Roanoke, and similar towns nearby. We don't claim coverage much past that, so if you're farther out, call and ask before assuming.

What kind of garage doors do you actually fix?

Torsion and extension spring systems, chain and belt drive openers, steel and composite panel doors, track and roller issues. That covers the bulk of what's installed on houses built from the 1950s through the 2010s in this area, which is most of what we run into.

Can you fix an opener from the 1990s?

Often, yes - depends on whether the part that failed is still available. Some older chain-drive openers use boards nobody makes anymore. We'll check before we quote, and if repair isn't practical we'll tell you that instead of charging for a part search that goes nowhere.

Do I need to know my door's brand before I call?

No. Tell us what the door is doing instead - won't open, stops partway, makes noise. That tells us more than a model number you'd have to go find. We'll sort out the brand and size once we're looking at it.
